Jennifer has worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years, starting as a retail make-up artist, then eventually transitioning into her own bridal make-up business. After getting her first esthetic laser treatment in 2005, she decided to take her career in a new direction. She received her Masters in Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2009, and immediately went into medical esthetics. She worked for 5 years as an RN, mastering a variety of treatments, including: Intense Pulsed Light, Radiofrequency, Microneedling, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion and Injectables.

In 2014, she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Saint Joseph's College of Maine, with a specialty in Family Practice. She continued to work for some of the top medical esthetic chains in the country, but became frustrated with the high-pressured sales, and limited amount of time she was able to spend with patients. When the state of Maryland granted Full-Practice Authority to Nurse Practitioners, Jennifer set out to open her own practice, which came to fruition in 2015 as Expert Esthetic Skincare.
