Microneedling

Medical Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, or Percutaneous Induction Needling, uses a handheld device with tiny needles called a Dermal Pen. The Dermal Pen is passed over the skin several times to create thousands of small injuries in the papillary dermis. The subsequent healing response produces additional collagen and elastin, which improves the appearance of wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, and overall skin tone and texture. Jennifer uses Candela Medical’s Exceed Microneedling device. This treatment is most commonly done on the face, neck or chest. It can also be very effective on areas of the body where the skin’s texture or elasticity could use improvement.

Results are often visible after the first treatment, and the skin continues to improve with subsequent treatments. For optimal results, 3-4 treatments are recommended per body area. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6-12 months in order to keep collagen stimulated.

**Please by mindful that, with any medical-grade skincare treatment, there are restrictions that must be adhered to in regards to your at-home skincare regimen prior to treatment. This includes discontinuing the use of retinols, exfoliants, AHA, BHA or benzoyl peroxide products.
